About:
Originally from Texas, Rebekah (they/them/theirs) attended the University of Evansville in Indiana where they received their B.S. in Stage Management and an Associated Study in Art. They studied abroad at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England during the spring semester of their sophomore year. Their favorite places they visited that semester were Blair Atholl, Scotland and Nice, France.
During undergrad, Rebekah worked at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre in Holland, MI for two consecutive summers. They began as a Stage Management Intern and were asked to return as a Stage Manager for the following summer.
After spending four years in Indiana, they decided to move somewhere warmer. Rebekah spent two seasons at The Phoenix Theatre Company in Arizona, first as a Stage Management Apprentice and then as a Stage Management Journeyman. They spent two years working as the Assistant Stage Manager for Ballet Arizona while also freelancing around Phoenix. They had the opportunity to stage manage a school tour for Childsplay, Inc. before joining the company as the Resident Stage Manager for a season. For three summers, they were the Assistant Camp Director for The Phoenix Theatre Company's Summer Camp where they were known as Captain Bex. Their favorite part of the summer was creating the lighting looks for the weekly performances.
Currently, Rebekah is the Assistant Stage Manager at PCPA - Pacific Conservatory Theatre. This season they have worked on Secret Garden, As You Like It, Mother Road, and Into the Woods.
Rebekah has been drawing since they could hold a crayon and painting since the age of seven. They have used their painting skills in The Phoenix Theatre Company's prop shop and to touch up sets for Ballet Arizona.
Rebekah’s other interests include reading, playing board games, and spending time with their cat, Moxxi. Moxxi enjoys looking out windows, ripping cardboard apart with her teeth, and playing hide and seek.
